Acting on a dream and towards a goal. Manifesting ideas that have existed in the aether for a long time. Trip hop, R&B, soul, jazz funk, quirky pop. I just want these songs I've had in my head for so long to become real.

With the help of friends from the San Francisco Bay Area music scene and beyond, it's slowly happening. Rocket Knife has been a concept in development for several years. In 2026, the first results of this labor of love will be published.

Our debut single, "Dying Day" goes live on February 1, 2026, first on our bandcamp.com site for download and streaming, then shortly after widely on most streaming services.

As of the completion of "Dying Day" (Fall 2025), the members of/participants in this collective/experiment included Marc Martell, Ilana Martell, MJ Gurule, Ryan Gates, David Rensin.

My most heartfelt thanks goes out to Andrew U'Ren and Angela Brooks who helped me take the first steps of turning these sounds in my head into living music.

 

Production on our second song "Visions" has already begun. I hope to document the production process through a blog on this site. Stay tuned for the latest developments there if you care OR dare! LOL
